Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

This is the premier perennial grower in NC. I have been a customer as both a retailer and a landscape designer for over 12 years. Plantworks has evolved dramatically recently by eliminating non-native invasives and growing more natives, as well as calling out native plants on their labels, making it easy for garden center staff to recognize which plants are native, stocking them in their natives section, and helping their customers choose the best plants for their gardens. Plants are consistently high quality and disease free. Staff is friendly and helpful, and their catalog is an essential resource!!

As a buyer, what do I look for in a grower? Consistent quality, diverse plant selection, excellent customer service, and integrity. Plantworks exhibits all of these and more. The whole team at Plantworks are helpful, courteous, and a real pleasure to work with. They provide plant status updates and respond in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them for your plant needs.

Great wholesale supplier of grasses, perennials and annuals. Wide variety of plants. It's great they feature natives and even removed invasive-type plants from their growing availability. I buy from them several times every year.

Fully recommended. I have been buying plants here since 2012 for commercial and residential landscape projects. Their selection and inventory are immense, and they carry all the plants that are in demand. The office staff are beyond friendly, and the loading crew makes short work of tall orders. I will continue to do business here as long as I am Landscaping. Ed Ducrest owner Celestial Landscaping chapel hill
